As Sandipa says…why use Maida when Atta is healthier!!
Recipe :
Ingredients:
2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
1/4 cup Warm water
1/2 cup Warm milk
1 tbsp Sugar
2 1/2 cups Whole Wheat flour
1 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Olive oil
8/10 Garlic cloves,chopped fine
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Sesame seeds
1/2 Pasta Seasoning
Method:
In a large bowl, combine yeast, water, milk and sugar.
Let stand for 10 minutes, until foamy.
Add in flour, chopped garlic, pasta seasoning and salt and mix well. Add olive oil and knead well.
Cover the bowl (with dough) in cling film and let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hr in a warm place ( I keep mine inside the microwave oven with the door closed), till it doubles in size.
Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C.
Turn risen dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
Divide the dough into 6/8 balls. Cover buns with a clean dish towel and let rise for another 20 minutes.
Brush the tops of buns with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack for minimum 10 minutes before serving.
