Delhi & Mumbai, 2014: American Express along with Cellar Door Kitchen will be hosting a unique pop up event featuring the renowned Bangkok based Chef Gaggan Anand. The event is designed to delight food lovers with a dégustation of progressive Indian cuisines from Restaurant Gaggan, at ITC Maurya in New Delhi from 4th to 7th September, 2014 and at Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai from 8th to 12th September, 2014. Cellar Door Kitchen is a platform for pop-up restaurant events founded by culinary consultants, Mangal Dalal and Nachiket Shetye.

American Express presents Cellar Door Kitchen with Chef Gaggan Anand aims to provide diners with a unique experience offering Chef Gaggan signature dishes for the first time in Delhi and Mumbai. Chef Gaggan, featured at No 17 in 2014 World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2014 and No. 3 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for Restaurant Gaggan, has received immense recognition internationally for his contemporary take on pan-Indian cuisines. This is the first time Chef Gaggan will be re-creating his 11-course tasting menu of progressive Indian cuisine with innovative cooking techniques in a pop-up in India open to all
Hospitality partners ITC Maurya in New Delhi and Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai will host Chef Gaggan and his team of Chefs as well as a mixologist and sommelier. At the American Express presents Cellar Door Kitchen, diners will be offered a 11-course tasting menu that showcases the range of talents that the El Bulli trained, Kolkata born Chef will showcase.
The 11-course menu (Rs. 12,500 inclusive of taxes per head) will comprise of signatures such as Down to Earth (Summer vegetables with 62ºC egg yolk and truffle chili air), Poor Man’s Porridge (Jasmine rice ice- cream, pistachio gel, Rose room-freshener, almond and flower glass) and Alchemist’s Cake (Dhokla with curry leaves, mustard, chutney, and coconut ice cream).
Reservations for American Express presents Cellar Door Kitchen with Chef Gaggan Anand will be available from August 29th for dinner on September 6th at The Lounge, Executive Club Exclusive Block – 28th Floor, ITC Maurya, New Delhi.
