A gorgeous sunny day and the table set in the verdant lawns of the Australian High Commission for a sit down luncheon with celebrity Australian Chef Adam D’Sylva made for the perfect setting to share details of the forthcoming Australia Business Week (ABW) in January 2015.
While the multi-city programme will feature activities and events across 13 industry sectors, premium food and beverage is what is most attractive to foodies like us. Catering to the increasing demand in India for ‘new taste experiences’, Restaurant Australia is all set to woo Indian travellers to savour Australia’s culinary experiences and make Australian produce available in India. We are informed that that there is a planned promotion of Australian food and beverage at Godrej Nature’s Basket until the Cricket World Cup. There may also be demonstrations on using Australian lamb, meats and other ingredients at the live counter zone at the event.
As part-owner and head chef at Melbourne’s hottest bar and restaurant Coda and more recently Tonka, Chef Adam is one of the most talked about young chefs in town. A celebrity chef on Channel 9’s Mornings, he also features regularly on popular shows MasterChef and Ready Steady Cook. Over a luncheon that included a refreshing prawn, mango and avocado salad, Australian lamb chops with chilli orange glaze and a deliciously light cake with orange blossom, we are informed that Chef Adam will be back and cooking for the gala dinners during the ABW. Watch this space to follow the goings on of the ABW.
