New Menu with Wine & Beer @ Wendy’s Cyber Hub, Gurgaon

20160414_145909News of Wendy’s opening a new outlet at Cyberhub Gurgaon hardly raises an eyebrow, but when one hears that a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) chain is also starting to offer wine and beer at its select outlets, then it certainly becomes a talking point.

choco chip shakeI visited Wendy’s at the new outlet at cyberhub where they are still awaiting the alcohol license to start serving Grover Zampa Wine and Kingfisher beer along with its new menu that starts at just Rs39 for vegetarians and Rs49 for non-vegetarians. The interiors of this outlet are even funkier with graffiti on the walls and large projection screen showing live matches. Combined with free wi-fi and unlimited pour of coffee options, this outlet can literally become a workstation for professionals looking for a workplace around cyberhub. The breakfast for Rs79 with coffee and melts sounds great for the working professionals. They are guaranteed of a hygienic meal without burning a hole in their pocket.

Railway Cutlet BurgerI try the new addition of Railway Cutlet Burger. The crunchy outer and soft inside patty burger at just Rs39, it is a treat. The red kidney bean (Rajma) patty burger is new from ubiquitous aloo- paneer options that have so far been the staple for most vegetarian burgers. With some mashed beans and some kidney beans left to give patty a bite, this is an interesting addition to its menu.

Chicken bacon burgerThe chicken burger with barbeque sauce is a tad salty, but my favourite is when the same chicken patty is served with crisp bacon and cheese. At just Rs99, it can challenge any burger available in the market at similar price range.

20160414_134218Wendy’s also has a new sauce bar station too. The normal ketchup, chilli sauce, garlic aioli, tzatziki and ghost chilli can easily change the flavours of fries or even the burgers.

I completely enjoyed my trip to Wendy’s. The beer will go well with burgers but I will surely revisit soon to see which wine goes well with the varieties of burgers available.
